Rene's has signed the safe seed pledge and doesn't sell any GMO seeds. You can call and specifically ask if they still sell any of their hybrid seeds from Monsanto/Seminis sources and if so, they'll give you a listing.

If you read the list in the blog, you'd see that we listed that Territorial did sell some seeds from Seminis. It's listed there. "Territorial Seed Company - *Tom Johns, the pres. of Territorial posted in the comments on my blog about Seminis being owned by Monsanto, and said customer service will provide a list of seeds they buy from Seminis, so you can avoid them. He also said that Seminis is providing less varieties every year (typical of Monsanto) and they are finding suitable replacements. So, don’t count them out completely. I’ve just sent him an email 12/30 to get an update.*" They have since stopped selling ANY seeds from Seminis or any seed from Monsanto and have signed the Safe Seed Pledge (link provided in the blog) so they are GMO/Monsanto free. I just called them to verify - no GMO seeds sold at all!

I just researched a list of non-GMO's I received from a friend. Abundant Life Seeds is parented by a company called Territorial Seed Company. TSC distributes seeds from Seminis- a Monsanto seed company. So.....what's the deal there? I have seen it on more than one 'research' site. Not personal blogs, but regular websites....So is this really a list of non-GMO's, or is this a Monsanto seed list-disguised as a non-GMO list? Not trying to be rude, just wondering. If I'm misinformed please please please correct me! I'm just going by what I've been reading. On this list I received there were 2 others which were supposed to be non-GMO/Monsanto-free seeds. They weren't! They started out that way, but their distributor is now owned by Monsanto.

Great site! I am sad to see that some of my old seed companies are on the Monsanto list, but glad most of them are not. I would be super sad to hear that all early girl tomato seed is now owned by Monsanto. :(
